Haku Vodka is a Japanese craft vodka made from 100% Japanese white rice, also known as hakumai. The name "haku" means "white" in Japanese, but can also be read as "brilliant". The vodka is distilled twice and filtered through bamboo charcoal to give it a soft, round, and subtly sweet taste. The charcoal absorbs impurities and adds minerals that give the vodka a smooth and mellow character. Some tasting notes include cardamom, bitter lemon, mint leaves, mango sticky rice, resinous tree sap, and sweet peppermint finish.
