Discarded Banana Peel Rum is a sweet, fruity rum made by William Grant & Sons from Caribbean rum and banana peel extract. The rum is aged in whisky casks that have previously been used to season whisky, and then blended with an extract made from banana peels that would otherwise be thrown away. The banana peels are dried, fermented, steeped in alcohol, and then combined with the rum and peel extracts.
